Commission models that pay a percentage after the fact leave the agent exposed to every variation in the journey. A net rate does the opposite: you know your cost at the point of confirmation and set your own price on top of it.
Rates are structured by market and vehicle class and confirmed before you commit to your client. If the journey extends or the itinerary changes, the variation is quoted against the same structure rather than repriced at retail, so a change does not quietly consume the margin you had already sold.
Rate reviews
Rate structures are reviewed periodically against the markets an account actually uses rather than adjusted across the board. Accounts placing consistent volume in a given market should see that reflected in the structure, and a review is a conversation you can ask for rather than something that happens to you at renewal.
